01Overview

Vocal Dreams 1 is built around vocal material: phrases, hooks, vowels and playable vocal instruments meant to be pitched across a keyboard. Each preset comes with suggested chord progressions, which gives you a starting point for a track as well as sounds to play. The vocals are performed by singer Olga Klochneva and were created by sound designer Alan Moris. The expansion requires VPS Avenger version 2.4.1 or later.

Vocal Presets and Sample Content

The expansion centers on 103 Avenger presets that use vocal recordings as their core sound. Alongside them, the pack includes 24 new multisamples, which let you play the vocals across the keyboard, and 260 new granular samples for textures that move away from straight melodic playing.

For rhythm, there are 3 new drumkits and 3 new drum sequences, plus 25 new multiloops that can be dropped into a pattern. Together these give you both the melodic and the rhythmic parts of a track in one expansion.

Who Vocal Dreams 1 Suits

The developer describes the expansion as suited to Trance, EDM, Melodic Techno, Progressive House, Cinematic and Ambient production. Its ethereal and cinematic vocal material is most useful where a human voice is wanted as a instrument or texture, such as breakdowns, pads, leads and atmospheric intros.

Because the presets are tied to Avenger, the pack fits producers who already use that instrument. Check that your copy is version 2.4.1 or later before installing.
