01Overview

The Collection 1 is a large expansion for VPS Avenger, made by Vengeance Sound. It brings together work from eight sound designers: Manuel Schleis, BigTone, Andy Hinz, Stephan Endemann, Marcel Susenburger, Marcel Seifer, Mirko Ruta and Alan Morris. The developer says each designer contributed their own strengths, so the pack covers a wide range of styles. Beyond the 173 presets, it includes wavetables, oscillator shapes, multi-samples, granular samples, drum kits, drum sequences and multi-loops.

03In depth

What Is Inside the Avenger Expansion Pack

The pack is organized around Avenger presets, with 173 patches ready to load. Beyond the presets, the content covers the core building blocks of a synth sound: 39 wavetables and 85 oscillator shapes for timbre, 98 multi-samples for pitched instrument sounds, and 47 granular samples for textures and evolving pads.

Rhythm material is included as well, with 31 drum kits, 31 drum sequences and 8 multi-loops. These give you starting points for both melodic and percussive parts within the same expansion.

Styles and Who It Is For

Vengeance Sound says the presets span EDM, trance, house, synthwave, vocal dance, pop, cinematic and chillout, along with styles in between. That breadth makes the pack useful for producers working across several genres, or for anyone who wants fresh starting points.

Because the expansion requires Avenger, it suits users who already work with that synthesizer and want additional sound sources and presets rather than a standalone instrument.
