Techno 1 is an expansion for VPS Avenger built around a dark sound. Vengeance Sound developed it with Manuel Schleis and Andy Hinz, and the developer positions it for techno, tech house and minimal producers. The pack covers both the synth side and the rhythm side, so it can supply sounds for a full track. It requires the Avenger synthesizer, version 1.8.0 or later.

Synth Presets and Sound Sources

The core of the expansion is 128 Avenger presets. They cover basslines, sequences, pads, plucks, leads and effects, which gives you a starting point for each part of a track.

Beyond the presets, the pack adds 70 new multisamples, 40 new oscillator shapes, 20 new wavetables and 30 granular samples. These extend the sound sources you can build from inside Avenger, so you can shape your own patches as well as load the ready-made ones.

Drumkits, Sequences and Arp Patterns

Techno 1 includes 40 new drumkits, and Vengeance Sound says they are well laid out and mixed, so they can serve as the basis of a production. The pack also adds 40 drum sequences to pair with the kits.

For melodic movement, there are 36 new arp patterns. Together, the drumkits, sequences and arps let you build a groove and a moving synth line from one expansion.
