Synthwave II - VPS Avenger Expansion is a preset expansion pack by Vengeance Sound for VPS Avenger. It adds 132 presets, 139 wavetables, arp patterns, drum kits and guitar multi-loops for 80s-style synth sounds.
Synthwave II - VPS Avenger Expansion is aimed at producers who want retro synth sounds inside Avenger. Vengeance Sound bundles a large set of presets with wavetables, multi-samples, oscillator shapes and rhythmic material. The expansion requires VPS Avenger v1.8.0 or later. Developer Manuel Schleis designed the presets, which the developer describes as analog-style 80s sound design.
Vengeance Sound says the 132 presets include gated drum kits and distorted basslines with a cyberpunk character. The expansion also contains 139 wavetables that the developer describes as digital wavetables from the DX era. Their use cases include bells, FM-style sweeps, growly basslines, digital plucks and vocoder-style talking voices.
The developer suggests layering several wavetables to build fuller bells, airy pads and digital leads.
Beyond the presets, the pack includes 91 arp patterns and 25 drum kits and sequences for building rhythm parts. It also adds 5 guitar multi-loops, which Vengeance Sound describes as 80s power distortion and improvised lead riffs.
The set is completed with 42 multi-samples, 29 oscillator shapes and 4 granular samples, giving you more raw material to shape within Avenger.
