Strobe Funktion is a drum expansion for Triaz by Wave Alchemy, with 300 drum samples and 80 presets focused on peak-time techno rhythms. It is also compatible with the free Triaz Player.
Strobe Funktion is aimed at producers making driving techno. The developer built its drum rhythms around a 140 BPM feel, with hypnotic swing and heavy beats. The expansion draws on the dark club sound associated with Tokyo, Berlin and Los Angeles. Its 80 presets can be loaded into Triaz, where you can layer, process, mix and refine each drum element and export the results as audio or MIDI.
Wave Alchemy describes Strobe Funktion as a set of 140 BPM techno drums with a swung, hypnotic groove. The rhythms are designed for dark, low-ceilinged club settings, and the pattern library focuses on the heavy, repetitive drive that suits peak-time sets.
The 300 drum samples give you a broad palette to build your own kits. Because the rhythms are preset-based, they work well as a starting point for a track or as a ready-made groove to shape further.
Strobe Funktion loads into Triaz, where each of the 80 presets can be edited. You can layer samples, add processing, adjust the mix and refine individual elements to suit your arrangement.
When the rhythm is finished, you can export the beat as audio or as MIDI. The expansion is also compatible with the free Triaz Player, so you can use it without the full Triaz version.
