01Overview

Poly Plaits Expansion Pack is a preset collection by Tracktion built for Attracktive. It includes 100 presets and 3000 samples, giving Attracktive users a ready-made starting point for sound design. The pack is based on the Plaits synthesis concept, which the developer describes as a polyphonic take on the original Mutable Instruments Plaits macro oscillator. It is a sound library rather than a standalone instrument, so it needs Attracktive to run.

What the Preset Library Contains

The pack contains 100 presets and 3000 samples. Those numbers give you a broad base of material to browse, from which you can pick a sound and shape it further inside Attracktive.

Because the pack is designed as an expansion for Attracktive, the presets are meant to be loaded directly into that plugin. You do not need a separate host or additional plugin beyond Attracktive itself.

Background on the Plaits Sound

Resonance Sound describes the pack as a polyphonic expansion of Plaits, the macro oscillator that Mutable Instruments released in 2018 with 24 synthesis models. The original was monophonic, so the developer presents this pack as a way to hear that digital character across multiple voices.

If you already know the original Eurorack module, this pack offers a software route to a similar voice. If you have not used Plaits before, the presets still work as a standalone collection inside Attracktive.
