01Overview

Forever 7 is built around electric piano sounds in the style of classic FM synthesis. The pack is organized as 100 presets that draw on Yamaha FM instruments, with Tracktion describing the patches as glassy and shimmering. Beyond the pianos, the developer layers in textures from several other Yamaha 4-operator synths to add harmonic depth. The collection is designed to load into Attracktive and is supplied with 14,000 samples.

03In depth

Sound and character of the FM electric pianos

The core of the pack is a set of electric piano patches that Tracktion says were sourced from Yamaha FM instruments, including the DX7, DX7 II, SY77 and FS1R. Tracktion describes the sounds as glassy and shimmering, with a vintage quality.

To extend the palette, the developer stacks these pianos with textured layers taken from 4-operator synths, naming the TX81Z, DX21 and SFG-05. According to Tracktion, the result is a set of patches with plenty of harmonic depth and textural nuance.

Using the presets in Attracktive

Forever 7 is an expansion pack for Attracktive, so Attracktive is required to load and play the presets. The pack includes 100 presets and 14,000 samples, giving you a large starting point for keys, pads and layered textures.

Because the presets are grouped around one instrument family, the pack suits producers who want a consistent FM electric piano character across a track rather than a mix of unrelated sounds.
