Waverazor is built around a patented oscillator that slices familiar waveforms and recombines the fragments into new shapes. Each voice offers up to three oscillators and three filters, and a central oscilloscope lets you shape waveforms directly. Waveform Slicing and Sound Character

The oscillator splits each waveform into segments and recombines them, so the result is more than a standard wavetable or single-cycle shape. Each segment can be adjusted for tuning, level, phase and DC offset, which gives you control over how far the sound moves from the source wave.

The developer describes the oscillator as a new form of synthesis aimed at biting leads, glitched basses and cinematic pads. Version 2 adds a set of 50 patches by sound designer Richard Devine, showing the synth in several directions from the start.

Workflow and Key Controls

A central oscilloscope is the main tool for building waveforms. The version 2 editor adds contextual editing: select a synthesis module and the parameters linked to it appear automatically, which helps when navigating a large parameter set.

Performance is handled by two X/Y controllers that modulate slice parameters, one X/Y wave segment control, nine performance knobs and three performance buttons. These let you morph several parameters at once during playback.
