Additive Sound Design and Spectral Control
KorgFlare's engine stacks eight sine wave partials configured as a harmonic series. Multiple pitch ratio curves change how those partials are spaced, which opens a wide timbral range from smooth, organic tones to atonal and metallic textures.
The spectrum trim control reduces the number of active harmonics. The developer describes it as acting like an ideal brick-wall low-pass filter, working progressively toward the higher frequencies. Sinevibes also states that the output is free of aliasing, which makes it suitable for clean, precise tones.
