Raindrop Delay Sound and Character
The signature effect is a chaotic, scattered delay. Because each of the up to 10 delay lines is randomized in time, the echoes do not settle into a regular rhythm. This gives the sound an organic, textured quality suited to ambient and atmospheric parts.
The parameter range is wide enough to move beyond the raindrop effect. At one end the sound resembles early reflections, and at the other it becomes a dense, full-bodied reverb with very long tails. Sinevibes says the built-in modulation oscillator adds width through unison detune, which is applied through its alternating-polarity routing.
