KorgBent is built around bent-wave modulation, a synthesis method developed by Sinevibes. A classic modulator and carrier pair of sine oscillators passes through a bender module that changes the modulator's curvature, phase and time symmetry. The developer says the result sounds closer to two synchronized, filtered analog oscillators, with smooth, elastic waveform morphing. It is designed for Korg's multi-engine hardware, where the package adds the plugin and example patches to the instrument.
Sinevibes describes the bender as the core of the design. Because it reshapes the modulator before the frequency modulation stage, the waveform can morph smoothly rather than jumping between shapes.
The plugin offers five output waveforms, each with variable shape and harmonic balance. Built-in lag filters smooth parameter changes, which helps keep adjustments and modulation free of audible noise.
KorgBent includes a built-in LFO with a frequency range of 0.1 to 10 Hz, suited to slow sweeps and gentle movement. The envelope generator has attack and decay times adjustable from 1 ms to 10 s, covering both percussive and slowly evolving sounds.
The lag filters apply to parameter changes, so modulation and manual edits stay smooth across the range.
