Sound and Pitch Behavior
Finite is built around real-time buffer recording and two variable playback heads. Sinevibes says the spline interpolation keeps pitch adjustment smooth across two octaves, so sweeps can be made without obvious stepping.
The feedback line is what sets it apart. Because the pitch shift is applied recursively, each repeat is shifted again, which builds stacked, shimmering layers. Short settings give a subtle detune, while larger shifts push the signal into dense, spacey territory.
