KorgEternal is a barber-pole flanger effect preset for KORG hardware synthesizers, developed by Sinevibes. It reproduces a seemingly endless upward or downward sweep using three flanger layers and six modulation generators.
KorgEternal is part of the Sinevibes KorgFX Collection and is built for specific KORG hardware. Instead of a conventional flanger, whose tone rises and falls in repeated cycles, it aims to create the impression of motion that keeps going in one direction. Sinevibes says the effect uses a through-zero phase design, so the movement can switch from downward to upward and back without a break. The plugin is designed to run on KORG prologue, minilogue xd, NTS-1, NTS-1 mkII, NTS-3 and microKORG2 hardware.
A barber-pole flanger creates the illusion of a sound that rises or falls endlessly, like the stripes on a barber pole. KorgEternal produces this effect by sweeping and blending three flanger layers.
Six synchronized modulation generators control those layers. Because these generators use a through-zero phase design, the motion can change direction smoothly, moving from downward to upward and back again.
