Through-Zero Flanging on KORG Hardware
Through-zero flanging is a sweeping effect that depends on the signal passing through zero time difference between two copies of the sound. Around that point, Sinevibes describes a "jet fly-by" character with positive feedback, and full sound cancellation with negative feedback.
The effect uses a sine-wave LFO to sweep the time difference automatically. The developer notes that the original technique used a pair of tape machines, with the difference in speed and position controlled by hand. This version reproduces that movement digitally inside the synth's effect section.
The developer also lists individually chosen parameter mapping, which it says gives a natural feel when turning the controls, and built-in lag filters for smooth, noise-free adjustment.
