Granular XP1 is a preset expansion for VPS Avenger, developed by Vengeance Sound. Granular presets for atmospheres, loops and FX

The expansion covers a wide range of granular sound types. The atmosphere set includes 50 presets for evolving pads, and the 101 FX shots provide one-off sounds such as risers and booms. Loop sets cover drums, FX and instruments, with 73 drum loops, 46 FX loops and 76 instrument loops.

The developer describes the sounds as twisted and modulated, with frozen vocals, cloudy textures and recreations of real instruments. The 80 instrument one-shots and 86 vocal presets give you more single-hit and vocal-based material to work with.

Requirements and granular source samples

Granular XP1 runs only in VPS Avenger, and version 1.8.0 or later of Avenger is required. Vengeance Sound says the expansion also upgrades the Granular source library with 512 new samples. These samples are intended for use with Avenger's new Granular OSC module, so the material is meant to be reshaped by the granular engine rather than played back as-is.
