Funky House 1 - VPS Avenger Expansion is a preset expansion pack for the Avenger synthesizer from Vengeance Sound. It adds 130 presets for nu disco, complextro and funky house production, along with drum kits and sound-design material.
Funky House 1 - VPS Avenger Expansion is aimed at producers working in nu disco, complextro and funky house. The pack was created by Andy Hinz for Avenger and covers leads, analog-style basslines, warm pads, plucky sequences, pitched vocals and arps. Beyond the presets, it ships with 25 drum kits and 25 drum sequences, plus additional sound-design material for building your own patches.
Vengeance Sound describes the presets as crisp leads, deep analog basslines, vintage warm pads, plucky sequences and pitched vocals. The pack also includes arps and SQ-style sequences, which fit the rhythmic, groove-driven character of house and funk.
The presets are designed as starting points in a genre-focused set, so they suit producers who want quick, style-appropriate sounds for nu disco, complextro and funky house tracks.
Beyond the 130 presets, the expansion adds 25 drum kits and 25 drum sequences. It also includes 112 new multisamples, which the developer says range from guitars and pianos to classic synthesizers. These can be used in your own preset design.
The pack further adds 22 new oscillator shapes and 10 new wavetables, giving you extra raw material for editing and building patches inside Avenger.
