EDM 2 - VPS Avenger Expansion is a preset pack built for the Avenger synth from Vengeance Sound. The collection covers the sound palette most often associated with electronic dance music, from leads and plucks to pads and percussion. Each preset draws on the new material included in the pack, so you can start from a finished patch and shape it further in Avenger. Sounds and Source Material in EDM 2

The expansion's 134 presets are built from a set of new source material. The pack includes 151 new multisamples, 15 new wavetables, 62 new oscillator shapes and one new granular sample. Together these give Avenger a wider range of raw timbres to work with, from tonal sources for leads and pads to material suited to plucked and percussive sounds.

The pack also adds 32 new drumkits and sequences. These are useful as a starting point for kick, snare and percussion layers in dance-oriented tracks, and they can be reshaped with Avenger's own tools once loaded.

System Vengeance Sound says the collection is intended to deliver brutal leads, drops, booming kicks, wobbles and vocal-style sounds. Those descriptions are the developer's own, so judge the presets by ear.

Requirements and Workflow with Avenger

EDM 2 is an expansion for VPS Avenger and does not run on its own. You need Avenger version 1.8.0 or later to use the pack. Earlier versions of Avenger are not supported for this expansion, so check your installed version before purchase or install.

Because the presets load into Avenger, your workflow stays inside the synth. You can browse the 134 presets, audition the drumkits and sequences, and use the new wavetables and multisamples as sources in your own patches.
