01Overview

Drum Vault TrigPak is a sound library made for Addictive Trigger, XLN Audio's drum plugin. It draws on the company's recording library and includes kicks, snares, two complete tom kits and two linkable extras, body percussion and tambourine. The kit pieces come with custom presets that the developer says add punch and dimension to drum sounds. Two of the snare kit pieces have not been released before.

Kick, Snare and Tom Kit Pieces

The pack contains four snares, four kicks and two tom kits. The snares include a 14x3.5" Gretsch modded tom, a 14x5" Ludwig Acrolite 1968, a 14x5.5" Yamaha Steve Gadd Signature and a 14x6.5" Pork Pie Bell Brass. The kicks range from an 18x14" Premier Gen-X to a 24x18" Pork Pie USA Custom.

The tom kits are built from Pork Pie USA Custom and Yamaha Absolute Hybrid shells in sizes from 10 to 18 inches. Each kit piece is loaded with a preset, so you can start from a finished sound or adjust it to your taste.

Layering Extras and Workflow

Beyond the drum kit pieces, the pack adds a Meinl single brass tambourine and a body percussion sound. Both can be linked to other kit pieces, which is useful when you want to layer percussion under or over a main drum sound.

Because the pack runs inside Addictive Trigger, it works with the host setup you already use for that plugin. It requires Trigger to run and does not work on its own.
