Chillout Lounge 1 - VPS Avenger Expansion is a preset expansion pack by Vengeance Sound for the VPS Avenger synthesizer. It adds 137 Avenger presets, multi-samples, drum kits, drum sequences, granular samples and wavetables aimed at slow-tempo music.
Chillout Lounge 1 is built for producers working in slow-tempo styles. Vengeance Sound describes the sounds as suited to ambient, lounge, chillout, meditation and cinematic music, and says the pack also reaches into melodic techno, pop and EDM. The contents center on pads, natural-sounding instruments such as flutes, voices and pianos, and sequences and arpeggios. The pack requires VPS Avenger, and the developer notes that the latest version of Avenger is needed to run it.
The expansion includes 137 Avenger presets and 107 multi-samples, which form the core of its sound palette. The developer highlights pads, flutes, voices and pianos, along with half-tempo breakbeats for slower grooves.
Beyond the presets, the pack adds 25 granular samples and 17 oscillator shapes or wavetables. These give you raw material to shape your own textures inside Avenger.
Rhythm content comes in 30 drum kits and 30 drum sequences. The sequences and arpeggios are programmed to fit relaxed tempos, which suits lounge and chillout arrangements.
Because the drum kits and sequences are separate from the presets, you can combine them with sounds from other sources or use them as starting points for slow-tempo tracks.
