BigKick Expansion V15 - EDM V1 Kicks is a preset expansion pack for Plugin Boutique's BigKick drum generator, with 64 kick drum presets designed for EDM production.
This fifteenth BigKick expansion was built with Scott Diaz and focuses on speaker-smashing kick drums for varied EDM styles. The set combines sub tone generator weight with transient character from attack samples drawn from Scott's own sample collection. Each kick can be dropped straight into a track or adjusted with BigKick's controls to shape a custom kick.
The pack includes 64 kick drum presets, 32 attack hits and 32 attack presets. The kick presets are built on the sub tone generator in BigKick, which Plugin Boutique describes as the source of the weight in each sound.
The attack hits supply the transient character, and they come from Scott Diaz's personal sample collection. Layering attacks with the kick presets gives you a way to adjust the front end of a kick without starting from scratch.
Presets load through the new BigKick Preset Manager. Once loaded, the kicks can be used as they are or edited with BigKick's controls.
