03In depth

Techno kick presets from Axel Karakasis

The core of the pack is a set of 64 kick drum presets. Axel Karakasis describes the collection as his own kicks, made for producers who want to work efficiently at a high standard of music. The presets are designed to be used exclusively with BigKick.

The pack also includes 32 attack hits and 32 attack presets, giving you separate attack layers to shape the front end of each kick. Because the sounds come from a techno producer's own productions, the pack suits club-oriented electronic music.

Loading the presets into BigKick

The presets load through the new BigKick Preset Manager, so you can bring the kick sounds into BigKick without manual setup. Since the expansion needs the full version of BigKick to run, it works as an add-on to the drum generator rather than as a standalone product.

If you already use BigKick, this pack gives you a techno-focused set of starting points to adjust in your own tracks.
