Kick Presets and Attack Hits for House Production

The expansion includes 64 crafted kick drum presets, each built as a low-end foundation for house-style tracks. It also adds 32 attack hits and 32 attack presets, so the transient click or punch of a kick can be layered separately from its body.

Because the attack hits and presets are separate from the kick presets, you can pair different attacks with different low-end sounds. Scott Diaz explicitly suggests this approach as a way to get a wide range of results from the same pack.

Loading the Presets in BigKick

Presets are loaded through the new BigKick Preset Manager, which is included with this expansion. You load the presets into BigKick and then adjust them within the plugin.

The pack is an expansion rather than a standalone instrument, so it needs BigKick to run. Check the BigKick requirements before purchasing if you do not already own the plugin.
