Ambition 1 - VPS Avenger Expansion is a preset expansion pack for the Avenger synthesizer by Vengeance Sound. It contains 136 trance presets plus new drumkits, arpeggio patterns, multisamples, oscillator shapes and wavetables.
Ambition 1 is built for producers who work in trance and adjacent styles. The pack adds 136 Avenger presets that cover arpeggios, basslines, plucks, pads and drums. Beyond the presets, it includes new multisamples, oscillator shapes and wavetables, so you can extend the synth's sound palette as well as use the finished patches. Marcel Susenburger is credited as the sound designer. Vengeance Sound describes the pack as suited to related genres such as ambient and chill, deep electro and progressive.
The presets focus on the building blocks of trance production. Vengeance Sound lists arpeggiator-driven sequences, rolling basslines, pike and pluck leads, tight drums and wide pads as the main categories.
Alongside the presets, the pack adds 12 drumkits and sequences, which can serve as starting points for a trance groove. The expansion also includes 44 new arpeggio patterns, so you can rework a patch's rhythm without designing a new sequence from scratch.
Beyond the finished presets, Ambition 1 adds raw building material for sound design. It includes 46 new multisamples, 54 new oscillator shapes and 16 new wavetables. These can be used to build new patches or to modify the included presets.
Because the expansion requires VPS Avenger, it is best suited to producers who already use that synth and want more trance-oriented starting points.
