The United Pop ADpak was recorded at United Recording's Studio A in Los Angeles, a room built to the standards of engineer Bill Putnam. The developer lists a long roster of well-known artists who recorded there, and the kit is described as colorful and polished with a clear, warm tone.

The Indie ADpak was recorded at Svenska Grammofonstudion in Gothenburg. It uses a hand-built ICE Custom Shop kit captured through vintage microphones and preamps and recorded on 2-inch tape. The developer describes the result as vibrant, organic and punchy.

For drummers and producers who want a range of textures, the two kits offer a clean, pop-oriented sound and a warmer, tape-processed indie sound from the same engine.

Beyond the two drum kits, the collection includes the Indie Rock and Alternative Rock MIDIpaks. These are MIDI beat libraries that work with the Addictive Drums 2 kits, so you can audition grooves and then swap in different kits without rebuilding the pattern.

Because the MIDI packs are played back through the engine, they fit into a typical Addictive Drums 2 workflow, where you drag MIDI into the plugin and shape the sound with its mixing tools.

The package also includes the Addictive Drums 2 Engine, so the collection can be used as a complete drum production setup in supported hosts.
