01Overview

The Jazz Collection bundles two modern jazz ADpak kits and two companion MIDIpak groove libraries. The brushes kit uses RealSweep for sweeps with accents and stops, while the sticks kit is tuned for a modern jazz sound. Both kits are built on Premier Gen-X drums and a Ludwig Acrolite snare, with Meinl, Paiste and Sabian cymbals. The collection includes the Addictive Drums 2 engine, so it works as a complete setup for jazz drum production.

Brushes and Sticks Kits for Modern Jazz

The Modern Jazz Brushes ADpak is a Premier kit played with brushes. RealSweep lets you add accent strokes within a sweep and stop the sweep at any point for pauses, which suits brush-driven grooves.

The Modern Jazz Sticks ADpak uses the same drum set and snare, tuned for a modern jazz sound and played with sticks. Both kits include a range of toms, hi-hat, crash and ride cymbals, with a tambourine in the brushes kit and a cowbell in the sticks kit.

Each kit includes presets so you can start working right away, and you can adjust them in the Addictive Drums 2 interface.

Jazz Groove MIDI Libraries

The two companion MIDIpaks contain jazz drum performances. Jazz Grooves: Brushes is built around RealSweep and requires the Modern Jazz Brushes kit. It includes over 200 live performances.

Jazz Grooves: Sticks provides tastefully played modern jazz rhythms for use in productions with the sticks kit.

The grooves give you starting patterns for fills, rolls and grooves, so you can place a drum part in a track without programming every hit.
