8 Bit Era is a preset expansion from Vengeance Sound for the Avenger synthesizer. It focuses on the raw, lo-fi sound of early video game hardware and chiptunes from the early 1980s to the early 1990s. According to the developer, original hardware was used to create many of the samples, and the Avenger effect routings were used to get closer to that era's sound. The expansion includes new drumkits, drum sequences, multisamples, oscillator shapes and wavetables, so it covers both percussion and tonal sounds.
