Sound Character and Analog-Style Coloration

United Plugins describes Verbum as combining analog and digital approaches. Its core is meant to produce clean, lush or vintage reverb tails, depending on settings.

The Colour control adds an analog-style color to the reverb. The 'Legendarism' control runs a simulation process intended to add the color and saturation of legendary reverbs. A 12 BIT button simulates older AD/DA converters for a grainier, vintage digital sound.

The Lush parameter applies modulation to the late reflections to soften and smooth the tail.

Reflections, Processing and Workflow

Verbum uses an algorithm for late reflections that the developer says prevents tails from sounding sterile or artificial. Internally it processes audio at 64-bit and handles any sampling rate, including 192 kHz and higher.

Smart Bypass is designed to avoid clicks or harmful noise when you automate bypass. The GUI can be resized by dragging the arrow in the bottom right corner, so you can shrink it to save screen space or enlarge it for easier editing.
