01Overview

V-Rack is built around the Rhodes MK8 Analogue Preamp and FX circuit, which the developer describes as sonically wide and soulful. The plugin packs seven stereo effect modules into one channel strip, covering drive, EQ and filtering, panning, compression, phasing, chorus and delay. Effect Modules and Sound Character

The rack contains a triple-mode diode Drive with an Amount control, a resonant three-band parametric EQ with selectable filter models, a Vari-Pan circuit, a VCA compressor with sidechain input, a four-stage VCA phaser, a Bucket Brigade chorus and a Bucket Brigade delay.

The developer describes the effects as classic analog emulations. Each module has its own character, so the rack can be used for tonal shaping as well as time-based and modulation effects on keys, synths, vocals, beats and guitars.

Workflow, Control and Presets

Extended parameters are hidden in a collapsible area, which keeps the main view simple. Pre and post switches on the drive and compressor, and Ping-Pong mode on the delay, give more routing options. The delay offers tap tempo and BPM sync, and the Vari-Pan and phaser also sync to tempo.

You can save presets for the full channel strip or for each module individually. Global features include independent input and output faders, selectable metering and a mono button.
