01Overview

Rhodes V8 Pro is the Pro edition of the V8, the first official Rhodes plugin. It is based on the Rhodes MK8 flagship electric piano and draws on around 30,000 samples recorded at 96 kHz / 24-bit, with up to 127 velocity layers and 14 articulations. The Pro edition adds deeper control over each note and models the MK8 FX board, including a VCA compressor, phaser, bucket-brigade chorus and delay.

Sound Shaping and Tone Control

The Main view handles broad tone adjustments on the V8 pre-amp board, which appears in the same configuration as the MK8. A stereo Vari-Pan effect with four waveforms sits at the center of this view.

The Detail view offers deeper adjustments to tuning and timbre, with optional mechanical and pedal noise. It also includes amp and cabinet simulations such as the Rhodes '79 Suitcase and Twin Tube Combo, with condenser and dynamic microphone choices, plus Profile EQ and extra FX for tone sculpting.

The Diode-based Drive control covers everything from light crunch to heavily distorted tones, and an envelope control can produce auto-wah effects.

Per-Note Setup for Electric Piano Sessions

The Setup view in the Pro edition is a per-note editor with editable Timbre, Damper, Tuning and Level lanes. It lets you shape the character of each individual note, which is useful when you want precise control over a played part.

The library includes 208 factory presets and 120 factory profiles, giving you a starting point before you build your own sound.
