Twin 3 uses four oscillators, and the developer has improved the sound quality of both the oscillators and the filters. Analog-modeled drift is built in, so pitch and character can move in the way vintage hardware does.

The four filters offer panning, adjustable slope and shape, and several types, including low, high and band pass, bell, low and high shelf, and notch. Ring modulation is available between oscillators 1 and 2 and between oscillators 3 and 4. Large Filter Freq and Peak offset knobs adjust all filters at once and can be modulated.

New slope settings for the envelope generators open up a wider range of shapes.

Modulation runs through a 100-slot matrix that you can edit by dragging and dropping. Sources include 16-step XLFOs, XY controllers, envelope generators, envelope followers and MIDI sources, and each source has a Source Level control from -200% to 200%. Live modulation visualization shows the targets and sources as they move.

The built-in effects section includes reverb, delay, chorus, phaser/flanger, drive and compression. An arpeggiator with host tempo sync, groove and legato controls, and transpose, note order and latch options is also included. A High Quality option enables internal oversampling for the best results.

The interface is resizable, supports full screen mode and customizable scaling, and offers undo, redo and A/B switching.
