Sound Design and Blending Two Patches
The instrument is built from two source patches. One is a pizzicato solo violin and a hammered viola da gamba, sent through several delay effects to form a tempo-synced rhythmic pattern. The other is a digitally down-tuned legato violin patch, processed with a range of modulating effects.
KLANG describes the instrument as a way to move between these two layers. Two of the three main controllers let you blend the patches into each other, giving you a path from rhythmic plucked character to a smoother, modulated legato tone.
