Field recordings captured in ORTF 3D
Boom recorded the library with an ORTF 3D microphone configuration, aiming for stable localization and phase integrity in immersive formats. The developer says the recordists spent long stretches documenting natural wildlife behavior rather than staged activity.
The material covers cypress groves, open wetlands, soft mud zones and areas with dense wildlife. Frog calls appear at several distances, wading birds are captured feeding, and alligator bellows are recorded both close and far. Boom notes that the recordings were kept free of heavy processing or noise reduction, which leaves a neutral starting point for EQ, dynamics and spatial work.
