01Overview

Solidus VS8100 is built around the Marshall Valvestate 8100, a solid-state amplifier that used a 12AX7 tube as a driver for its distorted channel tone stack. Audiority models the original head and adds tools for shaping guitar tone further. The plugin covers clean and overdriven sounds across two channels, with a customizable clean boost, a post-amp equalizer and a cabinet section. Modeled Sound and Channel Options

The Normal channel offers Clean and Crunch modes for guitar tones that stay close to the source. The Boost channel offers OD1 and OD2 modes for distorted sounds, the area the original Valvestate head became known for in heavier music.

The Clean Boost section is a 10-band equalizer feeding a booster, so you can build your own clean push before the amp stage. A noise gate is included to control unwanted hiss between phrases.

Post-Amp Tone Shaping and Cabinet Simulation

After the amp, a 5-band equalizer lets you refine the final tone. An integrated cabinet simulator sits in the signal chain, and the cabinets are provided by Dr Bonkers Sound Lab and Valhallir.at.

The interface is resizable, which helps when you need to work with the controls at a comfortable scale.
