01Overview

Amplifikation Vermilion is built around vintage combo amp tones. Its clean channel is described as warm and slightly gritty, suited to roots styles such as country, soul, funk and blues. The lead channel leans toward overdriven tones for modern rock. Built-in tremolo with BPM sync and an analog-modeled spring reverb round out the signal chain, and the plugin runs in VST3, VST2, AU and AAX formats.

Clean and Lead Channels for Vintage Guitar Tones

The plugin offers three amp types across two channels, Clean and Lead. The clean channel is aimed at jangly, chimey sounds for country, soul, funk and blues, and can also work for indie-pop guitars. The lead channel delivers a rich, fluid overdrive suited to modern rock and beyond.

Kuassa says the engine is tuned to match the tone of authentic classic amps. The built-in noise gate and limiter help control the signal when you dial in high gain or dynamic playing.

Cabinets, Dual Miking and Built-in Effects

Five cabinet types are available, with four microphone types and freely adjustable dual-miking in mono or stereo configurations. An impulse response loader with a resample function lets you load your own IR files.

The built-in tremolo can produce anything from a subtle pulse to a spinning rotor effect, and BPM sync keeps it locked to your project tempo. An analog-modeled spring reverb adds depth to the whole sound. A/B switches make it easy to compare settings.
