03In depth

Sound and Character of the Hollowbody Guitar

The instrument is built from samples of a hollowbody electric guitar recorded with vintage-style pickups. The developer describes the tone as clean and warm, suited to jazz comping, blues and retro pop.

The library includes 47 sound presets. Each preset can be routed through DI and microphone signals, with amps, cabinets and studio effects provided through Guitar Rig 7 Pro.

Playing Techniques and Workflow

Articulations include slides, mutes and harmonics, which help the performance sound less mechanical. Two instruments cover different tasks: the pattern engine plays chords and grooves from 232 patterns, and the melody instrument handles expressive single-note parts.

Full NKS and Kontrol keyboard integration is included. The Light Guide shows key ranges and articulations on supported Kontrol keyboards.
