Positioning with the XY Pad and Zone Module
The main interface centers on an XY pad. Moving horizontally places a sound across the stereo field using phase and time differences. Dragging vertically sets perceived elevation, placing audio above or below the horizon.
Front-to-back placement is handled by the Zone Module. Its Zone fader works by shifting the spectral cues the ear uses to tell sounds in front from sounds behind, and the developer says this translates to standard stereo speakers. For film and TV work, the Cinesafe guidelines show the frame so placement can match on-screen action, and you can also push effects beyond those edges.
