01Overview

Pivot works like a seesaw for your frequency balance. Turn the dial one way to add weight to the low end, or the other way to brighten the top. Instead of setting several EQ bands, you make one broad tonal move around a midpoint you choose. Venomode also includes mid/side modes, so you can treat the center and side channels separately, and a simple shelf boost-and-cut option for quick corrections.

Best for

Tilt EQ Balance and Slope Control

Pivot is built around a tilt curve. Raising the low end lowers the highs by a matching amount, and the reverse works just as well, so the overall balance shifts as one move. The slope and midpoint are adjustable, letting you set how steep the tilt is and where the pivot point sits in the spectrum.

That makes it useful when a track or bus feels slightly bass-heavy or dull overall and you want a single, easy-to-hear adjustment rather than a series of narrow cuts and boosts.

Mid/Side Modes for Stereo Bass and Width

Along with standard mono and stereo processing, Pivot offers a mid/side mode. Venomode notes that this is useful on a master, where you can brighten the side channel for a wider top end or reduce the level of stereo bass to tighten the low frequencies.

Processing the mid and side signals separately lets you address stereo spread in specific frequency ranges without changing the center image as a whole.
