Phrase Building and Row Logic
Phrasebox 2 maps incoming notes to an unlimited number of rows, and each row can have its own rule. Rows can use different MIDI channels and transpositions, even when they are fed a single note, which makes it possible to build layered polyphonic phrases from one input.
Rows can be given custom names, colours and an order, which helps keep complex phrases readable when many lanes are active. Editing is not tied to fixed steps or timing restrictions, so phrase length and note placement can follow the musical idea rather than a grid.
