01Overview

DeeQ is an effects plugin from the EQ category, developed by Venomode. Dynamic EQ Control and Sidechain Detection

DeeQ lets you adjust the frequency, gain and Q value of its filter dynamically. The filter can respond to the incoming audio or to an external sidechain. A pre-filter EQ on the detector lets you limit the response to specific frequencies, so the filter reacts only to the part of the signal you choose.

Sidechain detection makes it possible to shape one track using another as the trigger. Venomode gives examples such as removing mid-range frequencies while a vocal is playing, or cutting sub-bass when a kick hits.

Mid/Side Modes for Dynamic Stereo Width

DeeQ includes mid/side modes that let you change the stereo spread of a signal dynamically. Using these modes, you can keep bass mono while a kick plays, or widen the treble under a vocal take.

Because the same dynamic behavior applies to stereo spread, DeeQ can be used for width control as well as tonal shaping.
