Each of the three processors can be set to upward or downward compression, upward or downward expansion, limiting, or gating. You can run all three in series, or run two in parallel with the third placed before or after them.

Each processor includes familiar attack, hold and release controls along with an advanced lookahead section that captures peaks ahead of time. Three detection modes are available: peak, RMS and average. Venomode positions peak detection for limiting and RMS for smoother compression. Each processor can also be controlled through an external sidechain.

Each processor can run in its own adjustable frequency band, so the same modes can be applied to specific ranges of the spectrum, including multiband limiting, expanding and gating.

For stereo material, two dedicated modes are included. Stereo mode processes the left and right channels independently, while mid/side mode lets you apply different dynamics to the mid and side channels of the audio. The developer presents this range as suitable for both mixing and mastering work and for creative effects.
