Nx Germano Studios New York is built on Waves Nx immersive audio technology. It places you inside the acoustic space of Germano Studio 1, a New York room known earlier as The Hit Factory, so you can judge mix depth, panning, reverb and low-end response on headphones. Room Acoustics and Reference Monitors

The plugin models the acoustic nuances of Germano Studio 1 and lets you choose between three sets of custom reference monitors: Exigy S412G, NS10 and Germano A2.

You can dial the ambience from dry to reflective, so you can match the room character you want for a given session. Personalized head anatomy calibration adjusts the spatial rendering to your own head shape.

Stereo or 5.1 surround mixing is supported on any stereo headphones, which makes it useful for checking surround content without a multichannel speaker setup.

Collaboration and Head Tracking

Because everyone who loads the plugin can mix in the same acoustic space, it suits remote collaboration, where engineers and producers in different locations need to hear the mix the same way.

Head tracking is supported through a webcam or the Nx Head Tracker, which is sold separately. The tracker is not included with the plugin.
