Filter Routing and Stereo Shaping in MCombMB
Each of the six bands is fully configurable and independent, so you can build layered filter chains rather than a single fixed filter. Routing the four filters in each band in series produces a different character than running them in parallel, and the mix option lets you combine both approaches.
Phase inversion is available per channel. Used on a stereo signal, it changes how the left and right channels relate to each other, which is the basis for the stereo width effects the developer highlights.
MCombMB also supports M/S processing, single-channel processing and surround processing of up to eight channels, so the same filter design can be applied to a stereo mix or a multichannel source.
