Sampled mallets with a sequencing engine
The core of Mallet Flux is its set of sampled mallet instruments: glockenspiel, celesta, xylophone, vibraphone, and marimba. These sounds provide the tonal foundation, and the instrument's real focus is how they are played back.
The Flux Engine is a pattern-based sequencer. Native Instruments describes it as a way to build complex sequences through pattern automation, so you can shape repeating rhythmic and melodic figures rather than programming each note by hand.
