Invigorate is an effects plugin from Newfangled Audio built around the idea that compression, limiting and overdrive can all add energy to a sound. Its Radar control lets you move between pumping compression, firmer limiting and distortion. Sound Shaping and Dynamics Control

The Radar control is the central element of Invigorate. Turning it adjusts the gain while morphing the processing from compression, through limiting, to distortion, so one control covers a range of dynamic and harmonic character.

The SHAPE, SQUASH and GATE controls shape the gain curve, giving more precise control over how the signal responds. An aggressive level detector can make compression pump and breathe when that movement is wanted.

Gain compensation is built to let you compare settings at similar loudness, so changes in character are easier to hear.

Sidechain, Tone and Workflow Controls

Invigorate includes several tone sections. SENSITIVITY controls shape the frequencies of the sidechain signal that drives the dynamics processor. INPUT EXCITER controls overdrive the dynamics processor, and OUTPUT TONE shapes the wet signal before the MIX control.

Because the MIX knob blends the processed signal with the dry signal, you can add a controlled amount of character without giving up the original transient and tone of the source.
