Articulations and Sound Character
Each section includes fingered and glissando true legato, vibrato, clean and tremolo sustains, long and short notes, expressions, specialty bowings and aleatoric effects. The shorts range from long and dotted eighth-note staccatos to 32nd and 64th-note spiccatos, along with loose and tight pizzicato, Bartok pizzicato and Col Legno taps.
Chromatic and aleatoric effects include flautando, ponticello, harmonics, trills, runs, clusters and stabs. The 1st Violins add sordino articulations, including true legato and portamento.
The library offers several microphone blends. The Stage mix places mics on each player for presence and definition, the Mid Hall blend is a wide omni array with a softer top end, and the Far Hall mix has a darker, vintage character suited to classical scoring.
