MicroPitch, Random Delay and Double-Tracking
The MicroPitch mode is built for small pitch changes rather than full harmony intervals. Eventide notes that the hardware used it for double-tracking emulation, and the display's 0.1% pitch resolution makes fine tuning practical.
The Random control adds variable delay in a range of 0 to 25 milliseconds. Eventide says this helps a doubled vocal sound more natural and less identical to the original take.
For doubling, the bundled H949 Dual plugin runs two H949 units in parallel, a setup the hardware was often used for to create doubling effects and stereo widening.
