Freezing Guitar Notes Into Clouds
The core idea of the instrument is to freeze played notes. A chain of delays, all locked into an endless feedback loop, holds the sound in place after it is played.
The generated loop can then be processed. A low-pass filter darkens the material, and a volume control sets how present the loop sits in the mix. Together these turn the frozen notes into a cloud-like layer suited to accompanying a guitar line.
If you prefer, you can leave the loop running without further processing and let the infinite sustain carry on by itself.
