New Amp Models and Cabinet Sounds

Guitar Rig 7 Pro adds four amp models, each paired with a matching cabinet module. The cabinets use impulse responses from Ownhammer and 3 Sigma Audio, and a direct-to-room slider lets you adjust how much room sound is blended in.

The lineup includes a 100W all-tube amp for rock cleans, creamy leads and high gain, a mid-1960s amp, a 300-watt all-tube bass amp for vintage low-end tone, and a two-channel 1960s-style amp modeled on a hand-wired UK chassis. The Cabinet Impulse Response Loader also accepts your own IRs. The factory library includes IRs by 3 Sigma Audio, Bogren Digital, cabIR, Kohle Audio Kult and Lancaster Audio.

Pedals, Lo-Fi Effects and Loop Machine Pro

The update adds five ICM-based virtual pedals, including Kolor, Seattle Fuzz, Chainsaw, IVP Stomp and Skreamer Deluxe. Lo-fi tools include Noise Machine, which generates noises based on cassette, VHS, electrical hum and vinyl sources, Vintage Vibrato, and Tape Wobble for warbling tape-style pitch movement on sustained notes and pads.

Loop Machine Pro is included for jamming along with tracks, building loops and layering ideas. A real-time version of iZotope's Ozone Maximizer is also added as a limiter for dynamics and loudness. Over 100 new rack presets provide starting points from high-gain patches to lo-fi chains.

Signal Flow and Context Help

A new sidebar includes a signal flow view that shows the effects chain at a glance, making complex routings easier to rearrange and adjust. Context help offers tips within the plugin, which can help newer users learn the interface while giving experienced users new techniques to try.
