Sound Character and Core Controls
The instrument is built by sending an orchestra through a vocoder and resampling reverb tails. These sources are re-synthesized from a selection of analogue sound sources, then combined with a wobbly synth and a tremolo. KLANG says the result sits between analogue warmth and digital glitchiness.
The main controls are a balance knob that sets the mix between the sound sources, a tremolo amount knob, and a tone knob that can be linked to the mod wheel. The tremolo can be switched between a random and a triangle waveform, which changes how the movement feels from smooth to unpredictable.
