03In depth

Multiply FX for vocals and instruments

The plugin is described as a Multiply FX processor that works on both vocals and instruments. The amount control sets how much of the effect is added to the signal, so you can move from a subtle coloration to a more pronounced result.

The ribbon slider is the main performance control. Its tempo-based slide-back option returns the setting to its starting point at a rhythmic rate, which suits movement that follows the groove of a track.

Presets, interface and control

eXplorer 11 includes 50 presets as starting points for different sources. The interface offers four GUI sizes, which helps when working on screens of different resolutions.

MIDI control is available, so the main parameters can be mapped to hardware or automated from your DAW. The on-screen animation responds to both the incoming audio and the effect, giving a visual check of what the processing is doing.
